Rationale for Doug Otto's website design

After searching through photos of Long Beach landmarks, parts of town, skylines and beaches, it seemed to me that it is the whole of Long Beach that the Mayor of Long Beach represents. So I scrapped the idea of using a photo of one part of town and decided to use the cerulean blue of the Long Beach sky and the ocean. Doug's press release mentioned that he admires the current mayor and wants to build on the work that he has done for the city. Hence, the backdrop of bricks with an overlay of cerulean blue.

For the Small Show ...

  • Kriste Kalifornia of Huntington Beach, California
  • Muriel Kaufman of Eugene, Oregon
  • Nancy Clarke of Portland, Oregon

Hmmm. If Nancy were to change the spelling of her last name to Klarke ... I could have a "K" theme. But I'd better get at least FOUR Ks ... otherwise ... ICK.
